From his
much talked about original, Two More Hearts and highly praised remake of The
Entertainer by Scott Joplin, Eddie Thrash, producer, composer and guitarist,
brings you his newest
project which is close to his heart.
Who’s
Blue?, a unique
CD/DVD combination, features original music performed by Eddie Thrash and
international award winning artists: David Benoit,
Paul Jackson Jr., Nelson Braxton, Peter
Michael Escovedo, Andy Suzuki, Ray Obiedo and others. The DVD’s animated short
film, Who’s Blue, produced by Pinkie Mae Productions, and directed by Eric Tran
(of the Simpsons), brings to light Eddie’s lifetime desire to help all
pets find a loving home.
The CD:
Featured
songs on the CD include, Blue’s Lullaby, inspired by Eddie’s cat, Blue, who was
fatally struck by a car, and Where Did You Go?, which is also used in the sound track
for the animated short, Who's Blue. It is during these times that we
remember
the lifelong bond and connection we have with our pets and what
they have meant to us over the years. We often forget or take for granted
that they are always there for us, never judgmental but a constant source of
love, care and friendship especially in times when we needed it most. Our pets
have become someone to listen to us and confide in when others seem too busy.
A featured
track, Memory (for every pet), is a moving and beautifully arranged remake of
the theme song from the musical, Cats. Eddie has taken it one step further to
bring awareness of the thousands of homeless animals in shelters around you
just hoping to find a loving family.
The DVD: An
Animation Short
Who’s Blue is a touching story of how two lives come together
through the generosity of Blue and Mingus and their family. The story begins
with an abandoned cat, Dottie, and continues with a little girl, Aline, who has
to move with her family to a new city.
As we all
know, whether from a child’s perspective or from our own, moving away from the
people you know is never easy. The new move presents its own challenges; the
hardest one is making new friends. Fortunately,
through the generosity of a couple of loving animals, we are reminded of importance of the gift of pet adoption and how
our animal friends become the foundation of our
new lives.
The Goal:
In summary, Who’s Blue’s goal is to raise awareness for the needs of these
animals and to help
support the organizations that love and care for them until they can find a good
home. Please join us by supporting this project to help us bring more homeless animals and people together. The CD,
Who’s Blue, features as special guests, international award winning artists,
David Benoit, Paul Jackson Jr., as well as
Peter Michael Escovedo, Nelson Braxton, Andy
Suzuki, Ray Obiedo and others, all who have given their support to help Eddie bring more
attention his mission.
